Our Way Of Health & Life

The yoga moves in a circular manner touching one point after another until all in us awakens to the necessity of change.

Diana Stain

Yoga has changed my life on and off the mat. I began my yoga journey as a means to connect with other like-minded people and found a deeper purpose to life in the process. Yoga is my passion because it feeds my soul while balancing my mind and body. My holistic approach to sharing my practice is aligned with meeting you where you are, and recognizing that each day offers new curiosity and discovery. I hope to inspire you to breathe deeper, feel lighter, and move with grace and ease. I specialize in blending intelligent yoga flows with relaxing sound baths. I am a lifelong learner and completed my 500-hour RYT training with Stacy McCarthy. I am a K-12 CA credentialed educator and artist, with a B.A. in Communication Art, an M.A . Ed. in Educational Leadership, and a second M.A. Ed. in Administration & Supervision. My deep roots as a teacher leader connect across all ages and stages of learners. You can find me painting, drawing, doing pottery, or enjoying our beautiful beaches when I’m not doing yoga.

Christy Byer-Mendoza

Christy loves being outdoors enjoying our local sun and all that Southern California has to offer. She has been practicing yoga for years and in 2013 found SUP Yoga and became hooked.  Christy became certified in 2014 and to find more balance obtained her 200 hour yoga teaching certificate in 2020. The journey continues and Christy would love to share her love of yoga with you in a beautiful space.

Rachel Rosen

Rachel has been practicing yoga for about 20 years. She decided to become an instructor in 2019, so she could share with others the gift that yoga has brought into her life. Her teacher training is in hatha yoga at the Soul  of Yoga. Rachel usually teaches an all levels vinyasa flow class, but her at home practice incorporates vinyasa, kundalini, and restorative. She believes yoga can be an important tool in coping with day-to-day life, big stressors, and assist with aligning the mind, body, and soul.

Shuwen Lau

As an experienced registered yoga teacher, I cultivate an understanding of emotional balance, anatomy, as well as Hatha integrated yoga techniques. As a lifelong enthusiast of learning and recognizing yoga is intuitive healing, I’m enriching my yoga path in Yoga Therapy teacher training at Soul of Yoga Institute in Encinitas. I enjoy teaching yoga to everyone and every type of bodies. I have made a difference in students from ages 12-83 (teenagers, athletes, prenatal, midlife caregivers, and aging seniors). The practice of yoga is the cultivation of equanimity towards all kinds of experiences in our lives. Having studies different spiritual teaching, supported by the thorough observation of the self and other, I realized all teachings point to the truth of life striving for freedom, growth, expansion, and expression.

Jennifer Suchuman

I’ve been practicing yoga since 2001, teaching since 2008. I received my 200 hr certification from MiraCosta College and have participated in workshops with some awe-inspiring teachers, such as: Roger Cole, Leslie Kaminoff, Paul Grilley, Justine Shelton and Sherry Zak Morris, among others. I also currently practice on a regular basis with a variety of accomplished teachers.

I donʼt have a background in personal training, pilates, dance, martial arts or sports. I’ve worked for most of the last 26 yrs in counseling and health care. I was pretty uncoordinated and had rather bad posture. Through the practice of yoga, I think I have gained not only a physical strength and balance, but an emotional strength as well that has been a great support to me in challenging times. I have also gained some stillness of mind, not to mention much better posture. This I would like to share with you.

Taylor Williams

I was introduced to yogic asanas (postures or poses) at an early age. Back then, yoga was used more as a prerequisite for gymnastics and other sports. I decided to study yoga in college and then began to fully benefit from the spiritual, physical, and mental rewards of connecting mind and body. I traveled to So Cal in the spring of 2017 and have continued to expand my practice. I enjoy sharing my passion for yoga though exploring a variety of teaching opportunities. When I journey onto the water to teach SUP yoga, I find balance. When I teach aerial arts, I find heights and elevation that bring me focus and perspective. I believe that the time I spend off of the ground helps prepare me to land and find the ground firmly and steadily for my practice on the mat. Currently, I hold over 500 hours of training certifications and look forward to future opportunities to teach, learn, and grow.
